About Me

Hi, I’m Emily Alden, a psychology-driven, advertising-focused creative who loves turning human insights into marketing strategies that connect. I study Psychology and Media and Creative Advertising, combining analytical skills with a strong creative vision.

I started my studies as a double major in Professional Sales and Marketing at IU’s Kelley School of Business but realized my passion was understanding why people think, feel, and act the way they do, and how that influences consumer behavior. Shifting to psychology while keeping my marketing foundation gave me a unique perspective on consumer decision-making and brand storytelling.

During my degree, I completed over 30 credit hours in marketing, led independent research, earned multiple professional certifications, and worked directly in media strategy, campaign planning, and design. I love projects that allow me to pair data-driven strategy with creative problem-solving, whether I’m building national media plans, designing compelling visuals, or developing social campaigns that truly resonate.

Outside the classroom, I competed in swimming and water polo, which strengthened my discipline, teamwork, and ability to thrive under pressure. As Mental Health Chair for my sorority, I led advocacy initiatives that blended strategic communication with meaningful impact. These experiences taught me how to engage audiences with purpose and authenticity.

I am ready to bring my mix of psychology insight, marketing expertise, and creative energy to brands that want to connect with audiences in ways that inspire loyalty and deliver measurable results!
