Making Connections

I’m adding this presentation to my portfolio to showcase my analytical and strategic thinking in the realm of marketing and advertising. In this assignment, I explored how influencer marketing is used as an advertising strategy, with a specific focus on Duolingo’s success on TikTok. I analyzed how the brand turned its mascot, Duo, into an influencer, creating engaging content that resonated with Gen Z audiences.

This project allowed me to connect course concepts to real-world marketing strategies by highlighting Duolingo’s use of humor, relatability, and trends to build a massive following. Including this in my portfolio demonstrates my ability to critically evaluate marketing tactics, analyze their effectiveness, and present these insights in a clear and structured way. It reflects my growing expertise in the intersection of social media and brand building.
